Description

2-Phenoxyethanol is used as a solvent for cellulose acetate, inks and resins. It is also used as a fixative for perfumes, insect repellents and topical antiseptics. It is utilized as a surface active agent. It acts as an anesthetic in the aquaculture of some fish. Further, it is used as a preservative and cosmetic raw material.
