Description

1,3-Dichloroacetone is used in the synthesis of citric acid. It is used as a solvent and as an intermediate in organic synthesis. Further, it serves as an acceptor substrate in the cross-aldol reaction with donor substrates such as acetone, cyclopentanone and cyclohexanone.
