Description:

N-Benzyl-2-chloro-N-(2-chloroethyl)ethanamine is a chemical compound that belongs to the group of benzyl preparations. It is an organic solvent, which can be used as a substitute for toluene and xylene in organic synthesis. N-Benzyl-2-chloro-N-(2-chloroethyl)ethanamine is produced by the reaction of phenylacetonitrile, sodium hydroxide solution, and hydrogen sulfate. This chemical compound also reacts with meperidine and toluene to produce 2-(benzyloxy)-N-(2-chloroethyl)acetamide. The preparation of N-Benzyl-2-chloro-N-(2-chloroethyl)ethanamine can be enhanced by adding a hydroxide solution or chloride.
