Description

MRSA selective supplement is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that inhibits the production of prostaglandins. It is used for the treatment of inflammatory diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. Vancomycin hydrochloride is an antibiotic that binds to bacterial cell walls and inhibits bacterial growth by interfering with cell wall formation. MRSA selective supplement may be used in combination with vancomycin therapy to treat MRSA infections. In addition, it has been shown to inhibit cyclic lipopeptides in experimental models.
MRSA selective supplement is not active against penicillin-binding proteins found in staphylococci, which are responsible for methicillin resistance. This drug may be used as an adjunctive therapy to treat infectious diseases caused by bacteria that are resistant to other antibiotics, such as MRSA or Clostridium difficile.
