Description:
5β-Dihydrocortisone is the 5β-reduced form of cortisone. The conversion of cortisone to 5β-dihydrocortisone occurs in tissues that are rich in pyrrole system enzymes, such as liver and kidneys. It has been found to be expressed in human liver and kidney tissue. 5β-Dihydrocortisone is a potent anti-inflammatory compound and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).
