Description:
Pentabromoethane (PBE) is a polyvinyl cyclohexane ring that has been shown to be effective in recycling polyvinyl. It is an efficient particle, tautomeric form, and radiation shield. PBE has been shown to cause renal toxicity in rats and is used as an additive in plastics. This chemical has also been found to cause cancer in animals. Pentabromoethane may have a hydrogen bonding capability which makes it a good candidate for use as a x-ray absorber.
