N1,N1-Diethyl-1,4-benzenediamine is a chemical compound that is an important component in the synthesis of other chemicals. It is used to measure copper chloride, potassium dichromate, and sodium citrate in analytical chemistry. N1,N1-Diethyl-1,4-benzenediamine reacts with hydrochloric acid to generate hydrogen gas and diphenyl ether as a byproduct. The reaction mechanism for this reaction is unknown.
