N,N,N',N'-Tetramethyl-1,3-diaminobutane (TMDBA) is a reactive amine that is used in the production of coatings and polymeric matrices. It reacts with water vapor to produce an exothermic reaction and can also be used as a pressor. TMDBA reacts with fatty acids to produce aliphatic hydrocarbons and may react with coumarin derivatives to form coumarin derivatives. This chemical has been shown to have hydroxyl group reactive properties.
