1-Phenylbiguanide is a drug that has been shown to be an agonist of the 5-HT1 and 5-HT7 receptors. It has also been found to have pressor, atp-sensitive potassium channel, and cancer tissue effects. 1-Phenylbiguanide has been shown to increase locomotor activity in rats, but not mice. It is structurally related to dopamine and can act as a 5-HT receptor antagonist or agonist.
