Benzene-1,3,5-triamine is an organic molecule that belongs to the group of polybasic compounds. It has a molecular weight of 104.13 and a protonation constant of 6.8 x 10. Benzene-1,3,5-triamine is soluble in water and alcohols but not in ethers or chloroform. The UV absorption spectrum ranges from 190 nm to 260 nm with maximum absorption at 220 nm. This compound also has intramolecular hydrogen bonds that are responsible for its stability. The chemical reaction mechanism for benzene-1,3,5-triamine involves protonation from the hydroxyl group followed by nitro formation from the nitro group and finally oxidation from the hydroxyl to form the final product.
