3-Allyloxy-1,2-propanediol is a polymer that can be used as a cross-linking agent. It has been shown to have polymer concentration and 3-mercaptopropionic acid plasma concentrations, and it is also a kinetic data. The polymer has been synthesized from calcium carbonate, n-dimethyl formamide and hydroxyl group functional groups. The molecular weight of the polymer is 10,000 Da. 3-Allyloxy-1,2-propanediol is soluble in water and has linear polymeric chains with both hydrophilic and hydrophobic regions. This polymer is insoluble in organic solvents such as ethers or chloroform. 3-Allyloxy-1,2-propanediol can be used in the synthesis of cellulose derivatives by reacting with an oxidant such as potassium ferricyanide or sodium periodate. The product of this reaction is not soluble in water
