Product Information
N-(3-fluoro-4-nitrophenyl)acetamide is a nitroanilide that is used in the manufacture of dinitrobenzene and tetrafluoroborate. The reaction of N-(3-fluoro-4-nitrophenyl)acetamide with nitric acid and acetic anhydride yields dinitrobenzene and acetanilide, respectively. The reaction products are then separated by magnetic resonance spectroscopy. N-(3-fluoro-4-nitrophenyl)acetamide also reacts with water to form hydroxylamine, which can be detected by resonance spectroscopy.
