Description

7-Ethoxyacridine-3,9-diamine is a fluorescent compound that is used in biochemical and analytical methods. It has been shown to be safe at low doses in animal studies and to have minimal toxicity in humans. 7-Ethoxyacridine-3,9-diamine is used as a marker of maternal blood during pregnancy. It can be detected in the amniotic fluid, fetal blood, and maternal plasma from the third trimester of pregnancy. It has also been studied as an abortifacient agent which may be effective at low doses without causing side effects.
