Description:
4-Fluorobenzal chloride is a fluorinating agent that is used in the production of pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. It is also used as a reagent for the chlorination of organic compounds. 4-Fluorobenzal chloride can be obtained by reacting chlorine with an aromatic hydrocarbon, such as toluene. This reaction produces hydrogen chloride and 4-fluorobenzaldehyde. The hydrogen fluoride that is formed in this process can then be separated from the product using a condenser.
