DL-carnitine is a naturally occurring substance that is found in the body. It is required for energy metabolism, as well as for the synthesis of fatty acids and cholesterol. Carnitine also plays a role in the elimination of long-chain fatty acids from muscle tissue. Carnitine has been shown to be beneficial in cases of oxidative injury, such as those caused by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). DL-Carnitine may also play a role in reducing muscle damage during exercise and helping to prevent fatigue.
DL-Carnitine can be synthesized by combining crystalline cellulose with curcuma aromatica and antimicrobial agents.
