Description:
DL-3,4-Dihydroxyphenylserine (L-dopa) is an amino acid that is synthesized from l-threonine. L-dopa is a precursor of dopamine and exerts its physiological effects through the dopaminergic neurons in the brain. It has been found to be effective in clinical studies for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. L-dopa has also been shown to have a target enzyme inhibitory effect on cardiac tissue, as well as to have a positive effect on blood pressure.
