Hexacosanol is a natural compound, which has been shown to have the ability to improve locomotor activity and running endurance in mice. Hexacosanol also improves lipid metabolism by increasing the oxidation of fatty acids and decreasing fat accumulation in the liver. This product has been shown to be more effective than some chemical inhibitors that are used for hepatic steatosis and liver impairment. Hexacosanol increases oxygen consumption by activating mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation, leading to an increase in ATP synthesis. Hexacosanol has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects on cells such as basic fibroblasts and hepatocytes, reducing inflammation by inhibiting the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines (e.g., TNF-α). In vitro tests have found that hexacosanol also has anticancer activity against galleria mellonella larvae due to its inhibitory effects on DNA polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and protein synthesis. In vivo studies have found hexacos
