Product Information
- Benzaldehyde, 2-Hydroxy-4-(1-Methylethyl)-
4-Isopropylsalicylaldehyde is a chemical compound that inhibits the activity of tyrosinase, an enzyme responsible for the production of melanin. 4-Isopropylsalicylaldehyde has been shown to have inhibitory effects on tyrosinase, which may be due to its ability to oxidize a hydrogen atom in the hydroxyl group. This chemical compound also has a high inhibition constant against b16 mouse melanoma cells and can be synthesized by reacting 4-hydroxycinnamic acid with diazonium salt.
