Description:
4-(N,N-Dibutylsulfamoyl)benzoic acid is an ester that can be used to control insects and other pests. It has a low volatility and is not water soluble. 4-(N,N-Dibutylsulfamoyl)benzoic acid can be used as an antibacterial agent in aerosols or as a surface treatment for metals. It has been shown to have antibacterial activity against bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus with an MIC of 0.25 milligrams per milliliter. This agent also has some fungicidal activity.
