Description:
Cholest-4,6-dien-3-one-d7 is a synthetic oxysterol that can be used as a marker for the presence of primary sclerosing cholangitis. Cholesta-4,6-dien-3-one-d7 has been shown to inhibit telomerase and vitamin D3, which are enzymes that maintain the integrity of cellular DNA. This synthetic oxysterol is also used in analytical chemistry to assess the fatty acid content of tissues. The molecule is stable and nonvolatile, making it ideal for gas chromatography analysis.
