Product Information
1,2-Phenylenediamine Dihydrochloride is a compound that can be used as an optical sensor. It has been shown to bind to copper chloride in the presence of human serum and hl-60 cells. This binding induces a change in the optical properties of the solution that can be detected with an optical sensor. The binding of 1,2-phenylenediamine dihydrochloride with copper chloride has been studied using X-ray crystal structures and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Based on these results, it was determined that the reaction proceeds via a complexation mechanism involving hydrogen bonding between the amine groups and metal ions.
