- Benzoic Acid, 3,3'-(1,2-Diazenediyl)Bis-
Azobenzene-3,3'-dicarboxylic acid (AZDA) is a ligand that has been shown to enhance the oxidation resistance of polymers. It also has fluorescence properties and can be used as a fluorescent probe in biological applications. AZDA is able to reversibly form micelles with low surfactant concentrations and is also a good surfactant for polymer films. This compound is also stable when irradiated.
