Description:
1,3,5-Triiodobenzene is a compound that is used in the synthesis of organic compounds. 1,3,5-Triiodobenzene is also used as an intermediate for the synthesis of heterocycles. This compound can be used for cross-coupling reactions and Suzuki coupling reactions with palladium catalysts. 1,3,5-Triiodobenzene has been shown to form homologues and polymorphs with different melting points. The solid form of this compound can exhibit fluorescence. The yield of 1,3,5-triiodobenzene isolated from the reaction was found to be 91%. Electrochemical data such as cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry have been recorded for this compound. Radiation induced decomposition reactions have been observed in 1,3,5-triiodobenzene monomers
