Diisobutyl Ether is an organic compound with the formula (CHCH)O. It is a colorless liquid with a sweet odor and low toxicity. Diisobutyl Ether is used as a solvent for paints, varnishes, and in organic chemistry. It can also be used as a chemical intermediate in the production of other compounds. Diisobutyl Ether has been shown to inhibit bacterial growth by disrupting cell membrane function, which leads to cell death.
