2,6-Dichloro-4-iodoaniline is a kinase inhibitor that belongs to the group of tricyclic compounds. It is a competitive inhibitor of Jak2 and inhibits the activity of this enzyme. 2,6-Dichloro-4-iodoaniline has been shown to have superior selectivity for Jak2 over other kinases and has been used to screen for new inhibitors of this enzyme. A molecular modeling study was done on 2,6-Dichloro-4-iodoaniline to optimize its structure and assess its binding affinity to the active site of Jak2. This compound also shows high lipophilicity and good solubility in organic solvents, which make it suitable for optimization by synthesis or chemical modification.
