2-Chloro-N,N-dimethylaniline is a monosubstituted anisole that can be produced by the Friedel-Crafts reaction. It is a sustainable chemical and has been shown to have magnetic properties. 2-Chloro-N,N-dimethylaniline is used as a precursor to other chemicals, such as anilines and chlorinated anions. 2-Chloro-N,N-dimethylaniline can also be synthesized by chlorination of benzene with trifluoroacetic acid, which leads to the formation of chloride ions. 2-Chloro-N,N-dimethylaniline can be studied through magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). MRS is used to study the molecular structure of molecules in liquid phase and NMR is used to study the molecular structure of molecules in solid phase.
