Description:
5-Fluoro-2-methoxybenzamide is a phenyl derivative that is used as an anti-inflammatory agent. It has been shown to be effective against autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, and cancer. 5-Fluoro-2-methoxybenzamide inhibits the production of inflammatory cytokines by inhibiting the activity of phospholipase A2 and cyclooxygenase. This drug also inhibits the activity of protein kinase C, which may be responsible for its anticancer effects.
