Description:
2-Methyl-[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyridine is a reactive substance that can be found in the environment. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of creatine kinase, a key enzyme in energy production. The effects of 2-methyl-[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyridine on other enzymes are unknown. This reactive substance has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on benzodiazepine binding sites and may be useful for treating anxiety disorders such as panic disorder or generalized anxiety disorder. 2-Methyl-[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyridine may also have some beneficial effects on lung fibroblasts and adenosine receptor subtypes in humans and animals.
