4-Chlorophenylisopropylamine is an organic compound that is the product of the reaction between 4-chlorophenol and isopropylamine. It has been shown to be an optimal catalyst for the orthogonal acetone reduction of nitrobenzene to aniline. The optimum reaction temperature for this process is at 40 degrees Celsius, and it can be catalyzed by a variety of compounds such as iron chloride or copper(II) sulfate.
