Description:

Di-t-butylphosphine is a cocatalyst that is used to promote the palladium-catalyzed coupling of aryl halides. It has been shown to be effective in the synthesis of molecules such as 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline and 1,2-dihydropyridine. Di-t-butylphosphine has also been used for the synthesis of nucleophilic compounds that are useful in organic chemistry. For example, it can be used as a reagent for the conversion of an alcohol into an alkyl halide or as a catalyst for cyclopropanations. The reactivity of di-t-butylphosphine towards phosphane and halides makes it useful in optical spectroscopy studies. It has been shown to have antiinflammatory properties when combined with nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which may be due to its ability to inhibit prost
