Description:
2,4,6-Trimethyl-1,3,5-triazine is a triazine that has been shown to form hydrogen gas when exposed to UV light. It is also electron deficient and acidic. 2,4,6-Trimethyl-1,3,5-triazine can be used as a hydrogen storage material in fuel cells because of its ability to store hydrogen chloride in the absence of oxygen. This compound can also be used in analytical techniques such as electron spin resonance spectroscopy or luminescence techniques. The processability of this compound makes it useful for immobilizing materials such as enzymes on surfaces for analysis.
