Product Information
4'-(Dimethylamino)benzylidene-4-nitroaniline is a nitroaromatic compound. It has an optical absorption spectrum in the range of 350 to 550 nm, with a maximum at about 400 nm. The compound has two polymorphs: one crystallizes from benzene in the form of needles and is stable at room temperature, whereas the other crystallizes from chloroform as plates and is stable only between -40°C and +50°C. 4'-(Dimethylamino)benzylidene-4-nitroaniline has been analysed to determine its transport properties through optical devices, such as photovoltaic cells. This analysis showed that it has a constant activation energy of 7.2eV with respect to photons of wavelength 300nm.
