Description:
Methyl 4,5-dibromo-1H-pyrrole-2-carboxylate is a peroxide. It is a byproduct of the cross coupling reaction with hexane and fatty acids. The compound has been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth in vitro and in vivo. Methyl 4,5-dibromo-1H-pyrrole-2-carboxylate has also been shown to be cytotoxic to mammalian cells in culture. This compound may have potential as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent.
