Description:

Tetraethyl ethylenediphosphonate is a colorless liquid with a sweet odor. Tetraethyl ethylenediphosphonate has the chemical formula C4H10O3P and is an aliphatic hydrocarbon. Tetraethyl ethylenediphosphonate has luminescence properties, which can be used in analytical methods for the identification of phosphite, phosphonates, perfusion, and phosphorous acid. The structural analysis of tetraethyl ethylenediphosphonate shows that it contains four carbon atoms and ten hydrogen atoms. The test samples are prepared by dissolving the compound in ethanol and then evaporating the solvent to leave a residue. Tetraethyl ethylenediphosphonate is coordinated as a ligand to metals such as copper or platinum in coordination chemistry. Structural analysis of tetraethyl ethylenediphosphonate also shows that it contains one oxygen atom and two phosphorus atoms.
