Product Information

Name:
1-Naphthyl N-propylcarbamate
Synonyms:
  • Naphthalen-1-Yl Propylcarbamate
  • Propyl Naphthalen-1-Ylcarbamate
Description:

1-Naphthyl N-propylcarbamate is a synergized pyrethroid insecticide. It binds to the active site of the enzyme that catalyzes the oxidation of paraquat. The synergism is due to the addition of oxadiazolones, which are not directly toxic to insects. 1-Naphthyl N-propylcarbamate is effective against a wide range of pests, including mites, ticks, ants, and beetles. 1-Naphthyl N-propylcarbamate has been shown to be resistant to oxidative enzymes such as oxidases and hydrolases. The synergist piperonyl butoxide inhibits these enzymes by blocking their access to oxygen. This product also exhibits cross-resistance with other pyrethroids such as deltamethrin and permethrin.
