Product Information
- 2,6-Dibromopyridine oxide
- 2,6-Dibromopyridine-1-oxyde
- 2,6-Dibrompyridin-1-oxid
2,6-Dibromopyridine N-Oxide is an oxidizing agent that can be synthesized by coupling 2,6-dibromopyridine with nitric acid. It has been shown to react with both inorganic and organic substrates. The X-ray structure analysis of the n-oxide form shows a molecular arrangement that includes a planar central atom (the bromine) with four oxygen atoms at the corners of a tetrahedron. This molecule has a crystallographic unit cell dimension of a=11.94 Å, b=18.36 Å, c=19.58 Å, α=78°, β=85°, γ=90° and Z=4.
