1-(4-Chlorophenyl)-1H-pyrazole is a bioisosteric antagonist of dopamine D2 receptor ligands. It has been shown to have pharmacological activity against dopamine D2 receptors in the brain homogenate, as well as crystalline form. The compound has been tested for its efficacy in electrophysiological studies and has shown a profile that is similar to those of antipsychotic drugs. 1-(4-Chlorophenyl)-1H-pyrazole may be used as a lead compound or chemical probe for the development of new drugs with antipsychotic properties.
