Product Information
- Azulen-2-aMine
- 2-Aminoazulene
- 2-Azulenamine
Azulen-2-amine is a functional compound that belongs to the group of amines. It is synthesized from dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate and alkoxycarbonyl, which are reacted in the presence of base, such as sodium hydroxide. Azulen-2-amine has been shown to have a high dipole moment and thus can be used for the synthesis of nanosheets. The protonation of azulen-2-amine leads to a nucleophilic reaction with chloride ions and deamination reactions with hydrogen chloride, leading to azulene.
