Description:

Carbazomycin A-d6 is a potent antibiotic that inhibits bacterial growth. It has been shown to have high inhibitory activity against the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and has been used for the treatment of infections caused by this organism. Carbazomycin A-d6 belongs to the amide class of antibiotics, which are thought to be derived from calothrixin and nitro compounds. This drug contains two methoxy groups with one NO2 group at the 3-position, which may confer its potent inhibitory activity and bioactivity. Carbazomycin A-d6 also has radical scavenging activities that may be due to its functional groups.
