- 4-Oxo-L-Proline Hydrobromide
4-Oxo-L-proline hydrobromide (4OHLP) is a reactive compound that reacts with sodium carbonate to form 4-hydroxylamine, which is a precursor of other compounds. 4OHLP is used in the preparation of a variety of drugs, including cancer drugs and antiviral agents. 4OHLP has been postulated to be a potential candidate for treating cancer drug resistance. 4OHLP has been shown to inhibit the growth of human tumor cells by reducing their ability to synthesize DNA. This effect can be reversed by exposure to solvents such as DMSO or DMF.
