1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DSPC) is a hydrogenated lipid that is used as a diagnostic agent and as an excipient in liposomal formulations. It is also used as an analytical method to measure the uptake of chloride ions by phosphatidylcholine. DSPC has been shown to be effective in tumor tissue diagnosis. This drug can be used to increase the effectiveness of vaccines by increasing the antigenicity of the vaccine.
