Product Information
- 1H-Indazole, 5-broMo-4-Methoxy-
5-Bromo-4-methoxy-1H-indazole is an organic compound that is used in the synthesis of other organic compounds. It is synthesized by reacting ethyl ketone, tetrahydrofuran, and toluene in the presence of a nickel catalyst. The product yield can be increased by using a high concentration of methanol and anhydride as reactants. The synthetic method for 5-bromo-4-methoxy-1H-indazole involves first converting ethyl acetate into methyl iodide and then reacting this with sodium nitrite to form 5-bromoimidazole. This reaction product is converted into 5-bromoimidazole nitrate, which is reduced to form the final product.
