Salvisyrianone also inhibits phosphodiesterase (PDE) and nitric oxide synthase (NOS), which are important for vasodilation. Salvisyrianone may also be involved in the regulation of blood pressure by inhibiting vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation. The molecular weight of salvisyrianone is 584.65 g/mol, with a melting point of 242°C and boiling point of 647°C.
