Product Information
Rusalatide is a recombinant, human growth factor that has been shown to have a potent and selective response on liver cells. The polymer conjugates of rusalatide are biocompatible, and the drug has been shown to be effective in clinical trials for eye disorders. Rusalatide is also an angiogenic factor, which stimulates the formation of new blood vessels by binding to specific cells, known as vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR). These cells are found in target tissues such as the eye and periodontium. Rusalatide treatment has been shown to stimulate the production of VEGF, thereby promoting angiogenesis.
