Description:
5-Bromo-3-((trimethylsilyl)ethynyl)pyrazin-2-amine is an aminopyridine derivative that has a low oral bioavailability. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, as well as being able to inhibit neutrophil chemotaxis and infiltration. 5-Bromo-3-((trimethylsilyl)ethynyl)pyrazin-2-amine is used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory diseases. The drug is not toxic at high doses in vivo, but it can cause side effects such as nausea and vomiting at high doses when administered orally.
