Description:
GRI977143 is a specific agonist of the growth factor G-protein coupled receptor 9 (GPR9). It inhibits chemoresistance, which is a resistance to chemotherapy caused by cancer cells. GRI977143 has been shown to be effective against prostate cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. GRI977143 also exhibits apoptotic effects on these cells, which may be mediated by cyclase inhibition. Additionally, GRI977143 has been shown to inhibit fibroblast proliferation and cellular function in rats with inflammatory diseases. This drug also induces apoptosis pathway in cancer cells and can induce apoptosis in these cells as well as blocking cell proliferation.
