1-{1-[(4-Methylphenyl)methyl]-1H-1,3-benzodiazol-2-yl}-N-[(thiophen-2-yl)methyl]piperidine-4-carboxamide is a peptide that belongs to the class of inhibitors. It binds to the protein receptor and blocks ion channels. 1-(1-(4'-Methylphenyl)methyl)-N-[(thiophen-2'-yl)methyl]piperidine-4-carboxamide has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of several ion channels including nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, glycine receptors, and GABA A receptors. 1-(1-(4'-Methylphenyl)methyl)-N-[(thiophen-2'-yl)methyl]piperidine-- 4 -carboxamide has also been shown to be an activator of G protein coupled receptor in some systems.
