Product Information
2-(Difluoromethyl)quinoline is a quinoline derivative that has potent inhibition against the kinase domain of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). The compound has been shown to be effective as a solid catalyst for the synthesis of other quinoline derivatives. 2-(Difluoromethyl)quinoline has also been found to inhibit growth factor-induced phosphorylation in cells and can be used to treat hepatitis B or C virus infections. 2-(Difluoromethyl)quinoline binds to the catalytic site of protein kinases, which prevents ATP from binding and subsequently inhibits phosphorylation and activation of downstream substrates. The pharmacokinetic properties of this drug have not yet been studied.
