Product Information

Name:
ACY-957
Description:

ACY-957 is a novel histone deacetylase inhibitor that inhibits the acetylation of histones and other proteins. It has been shown to have cytostatic effects on primary cells, such as human T-cell lymphomas, but not on immortalized cell lines. ACY-957 also inhibits the activity of DNA methyltransferases and can be used to profile genetic ablation in vivo. This drug also binds to the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) enzyme and blocks DNA synthesis. ACY-957 is an effective HDAC inhibitor, which has been shown to cause a dose-dependent accumulation of histone H3 acetylated at lysine 27 in mouse embryonic fibroblasts.
