Description

Acetaldehyde-2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone is a thermodynamic term that describes the change in enthalpy (ΔH) and entropy (ΔS) when acetaldehyde reacts with nitric acid to form 2,4-dinitrophenol. Acetaldehyde-2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone can be used as a scrubber for automotive exhausts by removing nitro compounds from the gas stream.
